Andowl charge controller suitable for installations up to 65A at 24V. It is a PWM type. PWM charge controllers simply connect the photovoltaic panel to the battery (12/24/48V) making them simple switches. When the switch closes, the panel voltage is equal to that of the battery. The result is that the voltage of the array that the PWM controller can accept depends on the battery voltage and is small, usually one to two 100/200Wp panels in series and with a correspondingly small charging current compared to the capabilities of an MPPT charge controller. Based on the above, PWM charge controllers are ideal for smaller systems where system efficiency is not such an important factor and for solar panels with a maximum power voltage (Vmp) of up to 18V for charging a 12V battery.
