ALVARADO LTD which is a collaboration of IMH, has undertaken the organization and management of events at the Nicosia Conference Centre during the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2026.As part of this prestigious project, we are seeking Porters to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an international event of major importance, ensuring smooth logistical support and high operational standards throughout the Conference Centre.Duties and Responsibilities:-Receive, record, load, unload, and deliver various items and materials to and from the Conference Centre as instructed.-Assemble, move, and set up furniture, tables, chairs, and event equipment.-Assist with the setup and dismantling of conference, exhibition, and dining areas.-Ensure the safe handling, transportation, and storage of equipment and furnishings.-Maintain all equipment, furniture, and materials in good condition to ensure functionality and safety.-Support the preparation, layout, and timely execution of event setups according to plans and schedules.-Coordinate with other teams and departments to ensure accurate and timely room arrangements.-Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.Requirements:-High School Leaving Certificate.-Previous experience in hospitality setup, or similar work will be considered an advantage.-Valid driving licence.-Good physical condition and ability to perform manual handling and lifting duties safely.-Ability to follow instructions and work independently.-Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and time management.-Positive, proactive, and cooperative attitude with a team-oriented approach.-Basic knowledge of Greek and/or English language.What we offer:-A competitive remuneration package.-A unique professional experience in the context of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026.-The chance to work in a multicultural, fast-paced, and highly rewarding environment.Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV quoting PORTER/PHC/2025.
