Canon a40 vintage digital camera in great shape

This is a lovely Canon PowerShot A40, a robust early digital camera built with Canon’s solid construction and known for its beautiful CCD color rendering. It may be a 2-megapixel camera by today’s standards, but the images it produces have the classic early-digital look that many people love, and in reality social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram downgrade all uploaded photos to below 2MP anyway, so the camera already matches the quality you see online while giving you much nicer colors. The camera is fully tested and working great; please check the high-definition close-up photos taken with a professional camera to clearly see its condition. It is in very good cosmetic shape with a small discoloration on the front right side that is far less visible in real life than the studio photos show. The viewfinder is clean with a very slight softness that is common for this model because the optical viewfinder moves when zooming, but it still works perfectly for composing, and of course you can use the rear screen (Live View) as well. The screen itself is clean and works normally. The lens zoom mechanism works smoothly as it should, and overall the camera feels strong and well-built, typical of Canon’s early PowerShot series. It uses CompactFlash cards and comes with a 128MB CF card that stores about 185 photos in full resolution, plus a free USB CF card reader to easily transfer your images. If you want more storage, a 512MB CF card holding about 800 photos can be added for 15 euros extra. Also included is a beautiful Lowepro carrying case, the original manuals, and a hand strap.
